I'm going to skip over blogging about Christmas to post some pictures and thoughts from December 28 and then I will go back and do Christmas.
December 28, 2010 really started in September of 2009 when I was called and set apart as the beehive advisor in my ward. At the tell end of my setting apart blessing the bishop said "you will go to the house of the Lord with your family" I seriously can't tell you anything else that was said in that blessing. I knew it would happen one day I just didn't realize that calling was the beginning of it happening.
In October Ken started taking the missionary discussions and was baptized right after Thansgiving. The day after he was baptized he received the aaronic priesthood and in June he received the melchzdic and was able to baptize Emelynn. We started planning to travel to Idaho at Christmas time and go through the temple with my family. That one year was a long journey of growth both spiritual and temperal. My calling in young womans helped me a lot, as I worked on earning my young woman medallion again my testimony grew and I was able to strengthen the presense of the spirit in my home and family. The yw progam is amazing, one that is definitely inspired by God to help prepare every young and some older women to enter into the temple.
In December we traveled to Idaho to spend Christmas out there and on December 28th go through the temple. When Ken and I got to the temple and started walking in I was so excited and feeling spiritually overwelmed. What an amazing experience it was to be sealed to him for time and all eternity and then to see my children in their white clothes and kneel with them and have them sealed to us. It was so hard to not seriously cry and then when it was over my Sweet Alyvia said "Are you married now?" Which took care of the crying.
We had a wonderful friend of my sisters who came and took pictures here are some of my favorites of my family after the sealing and of my family and friends who were there on that beautiful day:
